LOCATE FEATURE

Qualifiers:

EXT <extension number>

HUNT_GROUP <number>

RING_GROUP <number>

ACD_PATH <number>

PERSONAL_RING_GROUP <number>

PLID <unit> <shelf> <slot>

PLID <unit> <shelf> <slot> <circuit>

Purpose:

Provides a list of active features for a specified extension number, pilot number, or PLID. If the DN is configured with a business schedule number in the Call Rerouting form, the command lists Business Schedule as an active feature. See Example 5.

Also shows whether an external hot desk user DN is logged in, logged out, or locked out as a result of successive failed log in attempts and whether the DN has an active reseize timer in its Class of Service. See Example 3.

If the system is configured in the Controller Registry form to delay firmware upgrades, the command will show whether the specified set(s) requires an upgrade and whether the upgrade has been requested. See Example 6.

When entered with the RING_GROUP <pilot number> qualifier, the command displays all local and remote members of the local Ring Group and any call forwarding active against the pilot number. See Example 4.

NOTE: Only active features are listed. A feature can be programmed on a set—for example, call forwarding—but not enabled and thus considered inactive.

Details:

When the command is entered with the EXT qualifier and the extension is the prime member of a Multi-device UG or PRG, the system response includes the following message, "This number refers to a <Multi-device User Group | Personal Ring> Group."

The command for a specific extension number can also be issued and the results displayed using the User and Services Configuration ( ) form.

Example 1:

Entry: LOCATE FEATURE EXTENSION 4000

System Response:

The number refers to a Multi-device User Group.
Pilot Number: 5005

NOTE: If the extension is a Hot Desk user's DN, the command will result in one of the following messages: "Hot Desk: <user's DN> Currently Not Logged in" or "Hot Desk: Login active externally at <registration DN>". In both cases, the active features will be listed. If the Hot Desk user is logged in, the command may also be reissued using the registration DN.

Example 2:

NOTE: If you use the Call Forward - Follow Me - Third Party feature access code (FAC) to program another phone's CFFM, the first parameter is the DN of the telephone whose CFFM is being configured.  The second parameter is the nominated destination (forward destination).  If the nominated destination is an ARS route with unknown number of digits to follow and if you do not enter a digit hash (i.e. " # ") to indicate the end of the number, the system waits until dial tone is returned. In this case, the 3rd party FAC handling adds a time out digit to the end of the nominated digits.  This saves a caller, whom is being forwarded, from having to wait until the conflict dialing timer resolves the conflict. When the nominated destination is displayed on the maintenance terminal the time out digit is represented as "T". Whenever a person dials a number that is in conflict with a longer number, the system requires the user to wait for the conflict dialing timer to expire. If this happens, the system appends the time out digit to the end of the digits dialed. The time out digit is used internally by digit translation to resolve dialing conflicts.
